Name: Nadia Fortune aka Ms. Fortune
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Canon: Skullgirls
Timeline: End of her Story Line

Character History:
Character page from the Skullgirls website and her Character page from Skullgirls wikia

Character Personality:
In Canopy Kingdom's world of crime, the Fishbone Gang is notorious for their Robin Hood-esque role. They're skilled thieves, dangerous to the rich and generous to the poor and lower class. Since the Gang raised her, Ms. Fortune is just that: a haunting shadow waiting to strike the corrupted rich and a kind individual looking to give a leg up to the weak. Of course, with this accomplishment comes confidence and cockiness. Ms. Fortune is a proud member and a skilled fighter in the group with her cat-like abilities making her a very adaptable opponent. Defeating her is difficult and she finds it rather a-mew-sing to taunt her opponents with horrible puns and the more annoyed they get, the more fun she takes from it.

Of course, that all changes for some time when Ms. Fortune feels genuine anger and fear upon finding herself alive when her family was still dead and butchered into pieces. Scared and at a loss, she goes into hiding where she manages to pull herself back together mentally while in the care of the helpful Dagonian residents. It's also during this time she comes to terms with her new regenerative abilities and learns how to intergrate them into her skill tree. It helps restore her old confidence, but not without remembering that she's the only member of the Gang alive. When she catches word of the Skullgirl appearing, Ms. Fortune is quick to decide she'll exact revenge by retrieving the Skull Heart and wishing her Gang back to life so they can destroy the mafia. However, the final confrontation makes her realize that she shouldn't seek vengeance in this manner and should instead, continue on as she has been and protect those she has now.

Outside of thief related things, Ms. Fortune is a little... slow-witted in concerns to certain mental processes and can mistaken terrible intentions for being hit on (that could really just be the gag of talking to the ninja nurse, Valentine). She will respond emotionally, usually jokingly, before her actual thought process catches up unless the situation is extremely serious. Her instinctive process is much higher than the usual mental process a human would have, one often interfering with the other, and you could say she's a little book dumb. Not that she can't read, but she's not exactly a middle school promoted student. Still, she can understand the world well enough to know who's materialistically well off as compared to someone struggling to survive. If someone could be helped here and now, she would find a way to lend them a hand instead of standing around and wasting time.

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Besides the familiar feline agility and dexterity, Ms. Fortune has a unique ability in Skullgirls besides being a finicky thief. Cut this cat to pieces and she'll pull herself back together; bones, tissues, veins, etc. It's a bizarre regenerative ability she was granted upon digesting the Life Gem her gang stole from the Medici Mafia. It now flows through her veins and it's not about to leave her soon. She's learned how to use this ability to her advantage when she fights such as taking her head off to help her in combat, using her tail like a sword, or tangling enemies up in her muscle tissue and throwing them elsewhere. It's very difficult to take this cat down.

Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
Well, she has dislikes that are very similar to that of a normal cat. For example, she doesn't like lemonade because of the sour tang it leaves on her tongue. Also, she's very sensitive to LOUD NOISES and odious odors. What is strange, however, is her dislike of sushi, but that's most likely because the Fishbone Gang (aka her family) were mainly Dagonians which are a race of fish-human hybrids.

There are several things to consider as a Weakness. Overall, her physical prowess and defense is lower than most of the other fighters in Skullgirls since these aspects goes more towards agility. Plus, mentally, she was left traumatized by the events that happened following her digestion of the Life Gem IE when the mafia killed her and the gang and chopped them into pieces. She doesn't have so much issue with guns (as fighting Parasoul shows, but she would dislike them), but any mention of the mafia sets her off. It doesn't even have to be the Medici Mafia, but just Mafia. It will easily anger her and she'll make plans to hunt said mafia down unless impeded because mafia obviously equals greedy assholes who kidnap kids and murder people for their own gain. Finally (not sure if this can be put here), she can be subjected to the effects of powerful poisons/toxins especially if they're administered by one Nurse Valentine, but then again, regeneration doesn't do much to prevent that anyway.

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign?
• Feline abilities - She was born a catgirl after all. Hearing, smell, sight, claws, agility, all those things please.
• Parkour - That's developed free-running!
• High endurance - She's a scrapper and a thief! Woo!

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign?
Obviously, the ability to not die so easily and she'll certainly be more attached to herself (haha, I made a funny). It might take a little more elbow grease, but she should be able to be killed. Also, no more shooting blood for a little extra speed or air dash, no double jumping around Death City, and a weakness to gain would be the lack of her super regenerating skills. It would take a while, but she would have to adapt to most of her old fighting habits again.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
As BREW, I would bring Ms. Fortune to Death City because she's a guardian-type. Not to say she fights for all that usual justice stuff (because those wanting justice could be just as corrupt), but she makes friends and considers those close to her as family, becoming a useful ally... if one can suffer through her puns. In the end, those who form bonds with her become people she wants to protect along with those who cannot fight for themselves. Perhaps Shibusen can manage to befriend her enough to fight.

If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game. Does not apply~

Why is your character a Meister and not a Weapon?
While Ms. Fortune uses her own body as a Weapon, she's not so willing to just trust others with it. Besides that, she's very efficient at various weapons such as swords, projectiles (the throwing kind), and glove/claw weapons. She could learn how to use other weapons, but would most likely be against guns due to their link to the mafia.

What is your character’s Meister Ability? Why?
Rapid Recovery - The Life Gem simply allows her to recover quicker. Just change it into something else.

Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
Cheerful, mischievous, proud, faithful, determined, independent

What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
It's a teal soul with long cat ears and a tail. Oh, and there's a creme-colored line on her cheek signifying the scar she has normally.

Provide a First Person style sample in the form of a post to the DEMISE network.

[A new face on DEMISE Network, but they seem to be ignoring the fact they're being recorded in favor of tracing their claw along the glass, entertained by the way this all works.]

Nya? [She seems to have finally noticed] Whoops, didn't mean to turn it on so soon.

Pawleased to meet everyone! I'm still purrty on the fence about this whole 'war' thing, but I could be convinced one way or another. If anyone is interested in sparring, we can have a go! Oh, and if anyone wants to try this resonance thing, I'm a Meister~

Meow! See ya!

[For fooling around earlier, she at least knows how to turn the guide off.]

Provide a Third Person sample set during the last minutes on their world and/or their first few moments in the Kishin Chamber.
Her black ears stood high as she gazed over the city of New Meridian, slitted eyes narrowing. That detective said the Medici Mafia was becoming more active in this area after kidnapping the girls in Little Innsmouth. Well, they certainly became cocky, didn't they? They probably weren't aware that Ms. Fortune was back in town and prepared to take them all down this time. Her first target: Black Dahlia. That bitch was responsible for the deaths of the Fishbone Gang; she had been itching to get her claws on that woman. There was another female fighter in the mafia apparently, but she could wait for later.

Ms. Fortune crouched, spotting the heavily armed woman in question. Her eyes glinted and her claws were ready. She pounced--!

Only to let out a startled cry when she latched to a broken pole in a dark chamber of some kind. "Wha!?"

Withdrawing her claws from the wood, she glanced around, mouth agape before the smell reached her nose. Immediately, she clapped her hands over her mouth and nose, ears pulling flat against her head. "P-U! What's that nyahsty smell?!" Whatever it was, it was accompanied by the horrid scent of decay. She hissed and proceeded to the door in the darkness when a bright light flashed on. Ms. Fortune leapt high, claws out and prepared... only to find herself face to face with a face on a television screen. Or, it was a television, right?

The Kishin Chamber? A welcoming committee? It all sounded a little fishy to her. I mean, they interrupted her move on the Medici Family. Her tail curled as it swished back and forth. Hrm, this welcoming group better have a better explanation for cat napping her.

She steals random objects sometimes so keep a close eye on everything.
